Al-Suwayda is located close to the Jordan border. It is referred to as “Little Venezuela” due to the big amount of Venezuelan Syrian Immigrants that have come into the city. Approximately 90% of the population are Druze.
Druze is a religion that originally developed out of Shia Islam, but they do not identify as Muslims. They place a heavy emphasis on philosophy and spiritual
purity and believe in reincarnation.
"And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd." John 10:16
Father, we ask that You would bring many from a Druze background into Your flock. We ask that they would reject the teachings of Druze which call them to follow Islamic prophets and secular philosophers, and that they would hear Your voice. Let them know You are the only true Savior.
