Al Tanf is a US Military Base located on the boarder of Iraq, Syria and Jordan. A significant American presence came in 2016 during the ISIS insurgence. This base is home to the collation forces , where along side American forces they are working to defeat ISIS. Also located in this area is the Rukban IDP camp which is composed of 12,000 people of whom 80% are women and children. An IDP camp is home to internally displaced peoples. So, this camp houses Syrians who have been displaced from their homes because of war.
"I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Lord, as these soldiers go out and fight against evil; and as these people wonder about their future with no home, no earthly possessions, and often missing much of their family; may they know the peace that passes all understanding. They are facing much tribulation, may they come to know the One that has overcome the world and fix their eyes on Him.
