Located southwest of Mosul in the Nineveh Province, Baaj was hit hard by ISIS and held until June 2017. Many were displaced from this region but are now returning home. Many have returned to find hospitals and schools destroyed and very few government services.
“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.”

Lord, as people begin to return to Baaj, we praise You that many have heard Your truth and even been given copies of Your Word during their time of displacement. As they go back may they make Jesus the foundation of their lives. Give those that know You boldness, and continue to draw many more to Yourself. Bring back to mind the stories and Truth they heard from Your Word.
