Hillah, located in central Iraq, is believed to be the site of the ancient city of Babel, and it is also the capital of Babel province. It is the closest city to the ruins of Babylon. Some believe Ezekiel’s Tomb is only 20 miles south of Hillah.
“Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: Whoever believes will not be in haste.” Isaiah 28:16
In a land that was once scattered for striving to make their own way to You, Lord would You reestablish your Church here? Father, would Your son, Jesus, be the cornerstone in which those from Hillah place their hope and trust?
